For almost 60 years, Great Yarmouth College has delivered high
quality education to students of all ages and walks of life. Our
Higher Education programme is extensive and expanding and we
keep a constant eye on the outside world to ensure we keep our
promise to our students; to teach the most relevant, current and
versatile skills to meet the ever-changing demands of employers.
We want our students to leave us equipped to satisfy every demand of their chosen occupation or further study. We work with employers, locally and nationally, to tailor our courses to meet the needs of today's workplace. We have facilities and industry-standard equipment to rival any other college or university in the country, within the friendly and caring environment of a community college.
All our students enjoy the flexibility our courses offer to arrange study and qualifications around their other commitments. Above all, our students enjoy the atmosphere our vibrant college offers them.

Every student who successfully completes a higher education course is invited to a graduation ceremony at Great Yarmouth's parish church St Nicholas - the largest parish church in Britain. It is a great civic occasion with town and gown coming together to applaud success.
Heavy investment in the past two years has made a big difference to our facilities. More than £2.3 million was spent in 2003-4 on a new Community Learning and Resource Centre - which houses the library - and Engineering Technology Centre. £200,000 was spent on a new self-service restaurant and kitchen for the college Eating House.
