Music and Performing Arts

If you're passionate about pursuing a career in some branch of theatre and/or performance, then determination, wide ranging experience, proven skills and good contacts may open up a range of careers, not necessarily involving actual performance. Employers can include arts organisations, local government, education, leisure, industry and the National Health Service.

Remember that the brilliant people skills you will have gained from your course will open doors in the many other careers which welcome graduates of any discipline, such as retail, finance, social work, travel and tourism, marketing and the voluntary sector.

TOP TIP: People who work in the performing arts dedicate themselves to developing their skills by regular practice, expanding their repertoire, moving into other areas of the arts, or being promoted to senior positions within their specialist area.
