The OU is Europe's largest university, with around 200,000 students
who chose the OU because it offers them a chance to study with
one of the most prestigious centres of learning in the world - and
they can study without sacrificing work or family commitments.

We are ranked amongst the top UK universities for the quality of our teaching so, whatever your reason for studying, you'll find yourself in expert hands. With no upper age limits and no previous qualifications required, we attract a broad mix of students.
