UEA Continuing Education Summer 2010
New summer 2010 courses at the Centre of Continuing Education, UEA
- Writing Prose Fiction Online, a level 1 creative writing course worth 10 credits which will run from April 30th to August 31st with a maximum of 12 students.
- Writing More Prose Fiction Online, a level 2 creative course worth 20 credits, which will run from April 17th to November 21st with a maximum of 12 students.
- Introduction to Counselling Skills, 10 credits, 12 students

Forum Trust awarded Goverment funding bid to help kickstart The Learning Revolution in Norwich
The Forum Trust is celebrating securing £95,000 from the Government as part of a 'learning for pleasure' innovation spearheaded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
'What Next?' is one of 213 winning projects and will be running a scheme to provide a range of different types of informal learning opportunities in The Forum.
The Forum Trust will lead the project in partnership with other public, voluntary and private organisations from across Norwich and Norfolk.
Pathways to the Future project
An exicitng new project will be launched on Wednesday 11th November at the Future Zone in the City Academy Norwich.
The project is part of the Government's renewed commitment to informal adult learning, or 'The Learning Revolution' as they are calling it. The Government has created a Transformation Fund to enable communities to come together and develop new approaches to enagaging poeple in learning for its own sake.

Anglia Ruskin University: subject specific taster events
Health & Social Care and Pyschology Taster Days
Subject specific taster days are a great way for level 3 students to find out more about a subejct is taught at university level. They normally run from 10am-3pm and lunch is provided. Taster days are run at campus where that subject is taught (some subjects are taught at more than one site) so that students canmeet the academic staff, experience the facilities and quiz student ambassadors about student life.
